The Flash 207: Gorilla Warfare

Barry is walking around STAR labs with the help Joe and a cane. Caitlin reports that he is almost healed. Barry is worried about Zoom. No one has seen him. Wells comes in and says he’s going to do something about Zoom he needs access to the speed cannon and the breach room to go home. Joe questions why he wants to go home. Wells believes he can go home and take care of Zoom. Caitlin says he can’t go that he can defeat Zoom on this earth. Wells says that he’s going home no matter what. Caitlin wants Wells around until Barry is back on his feet. Cisco computer goes off and he thinks its a metahuman attack. It was just a reminder for him that he has a date in a hour with the barista from jitters. Barry’s phone vibrates and it’s Patty. Barry is hiding from her until he is better. She knows something is up and is worried about Barry.
Wells is at a bar trying to figure out how to get home. Caitlin shows up and lets Wells know they can help save his daughter. Wells admits that he was wrong from coming here, that his planned failed. Wells says again he is going home. Caitlin makes a statement in passing that he’s lucky Cisco and Professor did not find a way to close all the breaches because he would be stuck here. This triggers an idea in Wells. His new plan is to figure out how to close all the breaches but one that way Zoom can only come in and out of that one breach. Once they close that they can set another trap.
Cisco is on his date. He’s selling Kendra on the movie he chose. He reaches to take her and has a vibe moment. We see her as Hawkgirl. Cisco gets weirded out and leaves her before they ever get into the movie.
We are now at Vaughan Pharmaceuticals. A Dr starts to flip out and steals something from the lab and goes to parking lot. He snaps out of the daze and Grodd is standing there and knocks him into the building.
Patty and Joe are investing the death. Patty is finding little hairs everywhere. This is the second death involving someone from a lab stealing a serum. Patty ask Joe how Barry is. Joe says he’s going to see him know with some homemade soup because he hates the can stuff. Patty is starting to figure out that Barry is hiding something.
Barry is now on the cosmic treadmill trying to gain back his speed. While running he has some flashbacks to Zoom and it distracts him and he gets thrown off the back. Barry admits to Joe that he’s been destroyed by Zoom. That he’s failed all the people of the city. He says now when the city sees the Flash they just see someone not strong enough to protect him.
Cisco and Caitlin are in the breach room. Cisco is explaining his vibe moment. Caitlin is now in the same visions as the Dr in the lab. She punches Cisco and walks away.
Patty now calls Joe and Joe figures out that Grodd is back because of the hairs and the drugs that were stolen were used to increase intelligence. Cisco comes in the lab where Barry is and explains that Caitlin just punched him. Joe yells that Grodd is back and they search the cameras to find out that Caitlin is under the control of Grodd now. They all run out but it’s too late both Grodd and Caitlin are gone.
Back in STAR labs the team including Wells are searching Grodd’s normal spots to see if they can find him. Wells says that they have talking Gorillas on his Earth also. Wells wants to use the locations of Grodd to try to find his new location. Barry is blaming himself again. Joe reminds him that he may not have his speed but he still has his mind. He can figure out what to do about Grodd.
Caitlin wakes up on the floor of some abandoned building with blacked out windows. Grodd brought Caitlin to the lab to make more like Grodd. He wants her to recreate the dark matter.
Barry is back on the treadmill trying to regain his speed. Barry’s dad walks in and gives him some advice. Barry runs over and give him a hug. Iris brought Barry’s dad into town for support.
Cisco is explaining to Wells how Grodd was made. Wells has wrote an algorithm based on previous locations to pinpoint where Grodd might be. The computer narrows it down to three locations.
Barry’s dad is looking at his x-rays, he tells Barry that everything in his spine is 100%. Henry said he would have called Barry but he doesn’t get signal from Granite Peak National Park. Henry has been camping by himself. Henry reminds Barry that you need to slow down to get where you want to go. Cisco interrupts and tell them that they’ve found Grodd and they have a plan. Wells walks out in the Reverse-Flash costume and Barry flips out and slams him against the wall. Cisco is able to get Barry to let go reminding him it’s not that Wells. Henry ask I thought he was dead. Cisco says the plan is to use Wells as Grodd’s dad and have him convince Grodd to let Caitlin go. Barry reminds Wells that he’s not going to be able to help if anything goes wrong. Wells is willing to take that chance.
Cisco and Wells have narrowed it down to the last tower. Cisco is having Wells act like the old Wells because he wants to make sure he’s convincing enough for Zoom. Barry checks in and Cisco lets him know they are heading to the last location. Barry and Henry are talking about the Zoom incident. Barry is telling Henry that he can’t beat Zoom. Henry compares how their family gave up on him even though it wasn’t true with Barry getting destroyed by Zoom. Henry said acceptance is the only way to get through it. He said that Barry was the one that gave him that hope.
Caitlin is explaining to Grodd about how they can use the chemicals to recreate the effects without the accelerator. Wells walks in and Grodd doesn’t believe him because Wells ask and Wells never ask he just takes. Cisco runs in and give Caitlin earbuds to block the mind control. Wells is trapped. Barry tells Wells to OD Grodd on the drugs and this should give them an opportunity to escape. Wells ends up injecting Grodd with the drugs and all three escape the tower.
Back in STAR labs Caitlin is bandaging up Wells. The team wants to kill Grodd but Caitlin convinces them that he’s getting smarter and just wants more like him. Wells knows how to get Grodd to a place where more are like him. They think its a good idea but they don’t know how they are going to bait Grodd to go through the breach. Henry volunteers Barry to do it. Caitlin is outside the tower and calling for Grodd. Barry takes Caitlin away and tells Grodd if he wants her he’s going to have to catch him. The plain is for Barry to lead Grodd to a breach and Cisco is waiting with the speed cannon to blast him through. Barry has a flashback to zoom when he gets to the breach. This allows Grodd to catch him. Caitlin comes out and tells Grodd they are trying to give him wait he wants a place with more like him. They turn on the speed cannon Grodd is too big to get sucked through. Henry tells Barry he needs to conquer his fears and be the Flash. Barry runs to build up seed and knocks Grodd through the Breach.
The team is back in STAR labs. They want to figure out how to get the reverse flash suit back in the ring. Barry wants the same ability in his suit. Wells says he knows something about microtechnology and maybe able to help. Cisco wants to know why the breaches go to different places on Earth-2. Wells says he doesn’t know but they need to figure out how to close the breaches.
Joe, Iris, Henry and Barry are around the table looking at old pictures. They all say their good-byes. Barry wants to go by his lab after dropping off his dad at the bus station. Patty is in the lab. Patty knew that Barry was lying. Barry used his father as the excuse why he wasn’t around. Patty says they can’t be like that if they are going to be together. No lies she wants to trust him.
Cisco is trying to make it up to Kendra for ditching her earlier. He has a basket with flowers chocolates, and a movies. Kendra agrees they can pick up where they left off. Cisco and Kendra kiss and Cisco has another vibe moment. He see that Kendra is Hawkgirl.
Grood comes through the breach in the rainforest on Earth-2 and he looks around to see the gorilla civilization and growls with disapproval.
