Amell Denies Reports About Effects of Flashpoint on Arrow

Stephen Amell, star of Arrow, took to Facebook to clear up internet reports about statements he made at Heroes & Villains NY/NJ this weekend. Durning a panel he was asked about the effects of Flashpoint on Arrow, which lead to many internet stories of him confirming Flashpoint for Arrow.

On the show we call these con-quotes, where the actors get on stage and say things to make the crowd happy because they can’t say ‘I don’t know’ or ‘just wait an see’ and this weekend Amell was in one of those situations.

I believe Flashpoint being part of Arrow is always a possibility because of all the season 5 vigilante castings over the last couple of weeks. In Flashpoint Oliver is the head Green Arrow Industries, where he develops weapons and is the leader of an ex-military team called the Green Arrows. I do not believe this is a full season story arc. The comic for Flashpoint: Green Arrow Industries was only a one shot and not a complete run which limits the source material for the subject. If Flashpoint becomes part of Arrow it will be durning the four part cross-over.
