The Season 12 premiere has come and gone and we are left with a couple burning questions leading into the second episode.
What were those brass knuckles all about and are they standard issue for all contemporary MOLs?
- Judging by the preview for the upcoming episode, we know that the knuckle dusters will make another grand appearance in the upcoming episode, which leads me to believe that they might in fact be standard issue. The use of the knuckles gives the British chapter of the MOLs a bit of a late 1800s and early 1900s street gang flair (which is cool). Supernatural bringing back the old world weaponry is 100% A-OK with me.
- As we know, the MOLs already wield an immeasurable amount of power and knowledge. Dealing with a potential enemy as knowledgeable as the Men of Letters is sure to raise the stakes, specially if a pair of powered-up brass knuckles can take down an angel.

What is Lucifer up to now that he’s finally free?
- The Apocalypse has come and gone, so he can’t possibly have Apocalypse 2.0 in his crosshairs, right? It’s hard to put your finger on his true intentions at this point. Last season he had kinda made peace with his dad (God)–at least at that moment.
- This is a big open-ended question for many long time Supernatural viewers. It’s also a delicate area that the writers must handle carefully because in many ways Lucifer is the backbone of the entire 12 seasons of Supernatural. Everything that we’ve seen transpire over the 12 seasons was either directly connected to Lucifer or his actions in some way had impacted the course of the narrative.
