The Flash Season 3: Everything We Know Going into the Premiere

Flashpoint: In the end of Season 2 we see Barry saving his mom from the Reverse-Flash which was the beginning of what is known in the DC Comic world as Flashpoint. Later on in the summer Gustin himself via twitter confirmed that the season premiere would be titled ‘Flashpoint’.  Unfortunately CW President Mark Pedowitz released a statement that “The Flashpoint exercise is only for a couple episodes before it comes back in”.

Villains:  The Flash season will have two villains. Dr Alchemy and the speedster Savitar.

  • Dr Alchemy: Albert Desmond is a chemist who suffers from a multiple personality disorder with one law-abiding personality and another criminally inclined one. Under his darker personality he applies his knowledge of chemistry to create the identity of Mister Element
  • Savitar: Savitar was to test a supersonic fighter jet. As he reached top speed, his plane was struck by what appeared to be lightning, and he went down in hostile territory. Discovering he could defeat the enemy by moving at super-speed, he became obsessed with speed, naming himself after Savitr the Hindu “god of motion”, and dedicating his life to unlocking its secrets.

Grodd will return in a two part episode in Gorilla City.

Grey Damon (Friday Night Lights, Aquarius) was cast as Mirror Master and Ashley Richards (Awkward) will play Rosalind “Rosa” Dillon, a.k.a. The Top. The Bonnie and Clyde duo will first appear in the fourth episode of the season.

Speedsters: This upcoming season will have more speedsters than all the other seasons combined. Rumored to be 8 different speedsters in this season

  • Barry Allen
  • Jay Garrick
  • Wally West
  • Jesse Quick
  • Reverse Flash
  • Savitar
  • Black Flash
  • The Rival

New Characters: Tom Felton (Harry Potter) will be joining the cast as Julian Dorn, another CSI working with Barry. Executive producer Todd Helbing explained, “[Julian Dorn] is a direct result of Flashpoint. Barry’s had that lab to himself, but now he’s got to share it with this guy, who doesn’t really like him and is kind of prickly.”
