It was just announced via StarWars.com that veteran actor Woody Harrelson will be joining the cast of the untitled Young Han Solo film. You can read the press release here. Earlier last week there were rumors stating that the actor would be playing a mentor of sorts to the young hotshot pilot. As is the case with most Star Wars related casting, very little is known.
Harrelson, known for wide-ranging roles in film and TV such as TheHunger Games, No County For Old Men, True Detective, Cheers, and Zombieland, will join actors Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), and Emilia Clarke in the adventure. This Star Wars Story is the second in a series of films that live outside the Skywalker family saga, and is set during the early scoundrel days of the iconic characters, prior to A New Hope.
The film is still untitled but is scheduled for a 2018 release.
