The Man in Black Fled Across the Desert, and the Gunslinger Followed
The Dark Tower trailer is finally here! The trailer brings hope to a film adaptation that has been plagued since its conception. Also, fans of the books will notice several nods to the source material’s inspiration, one being the “clock music” from For A Few Dollars More. Additionally, we get various moments that look like Director Nikolaj Arcel intends to stay true to the “heart of the story”. The director stated that this film serves more as a sequel to the books and has promised that it will tell an amazing story.
The Dark Tower Story Will Be Told Through Multiple Mediums
There have been numerous attempts to adapt the massive book series. The first as a series of films, but now as a film with an accompanying prequel TV series. This would be the first attempt to do something where a feature film would be followed by a planned prequel series. It has been an ongoing question for years, how should you adapt a series so full of rich content and substance? It should come as no surprise that TV is the answer, a quick look at the latest trend of well-polished stories being produced for the small screen today should tell you just that.
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Katheryn Winnick, Idris Elba. The Dark Tower hits theaters August 4.
