Supergirl co-creator Ali Adler will step down as show runner. Adler has signed a new development deal to return to CBS.

With Adler leaving, The CW didn’t waste any time promoting Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner to show runner. Queller and Rovner have been with the show as producers since the first season.

Queller and Rovner will join Andrew Kriesberg, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter as lead decision-makers for Supergirl.

In any case we will sure find out more at San Diego Comic-Con in July, where the DCTV universe typically rolls out the first trailers for the upcoming Fall season.

However only time will tell with the change in leadership what will it mean for the show? Will there be a shift in the tone? Only time will tell.
