To make a feature or not to?
This past week, Thomas, Ryan and Mike put together a bonus show for our $1.00 Patreon pledges. The focus of the discussion was based around a potential Supernatural feature film. This was a highly speculative discourse with a lot of “what ifs” and “what they’d like to see”. We’ve posted an outline of the show notes below along with a link to if you wish to listen/watch the broadcast. Pledge $1.00 to gain access.

10 Minutes at The Crossroads – Outline
Clarification on ending at 300 episodes. Jared and Jensen have been clarifying their past comments and it has created flurry of debate as to what this will mean. If the show doesn’t end at 300 (which is good), will there be room for a potential feature film as well along with more episodes. Let’s not forget the recently announced backdoor pilot–it’s becoming more and more clear that the future of SPN can go on for the foreseeable future.
- The Supernatural franchise is already more successful than most film franchises — millions of fans across the world, more than a dozen seasons.
- There’s an argument to be made that it is time we take it up a notch.
- Is it time for the Winchesters to do their big screen debut?
- This could work in a few different ways —
- Warner Bros. has a bankable franchise on their hands, financing should be a problem.
- Casting a bankable “mainstream” name will also potentially reflect a positive return on investment.
- Potentially casting a “known name” as the antagonist would help.
- Casting a bankable “mainstream” name will also potentially reflect a positive return on investment.
- Worse case scenario–Financing wouldn’t be a problem. Look at Firefly and even closer to home Rob and Rich’s web series.

- Who could direct the feature film?
- Directors / Writers
- Phil Sgriccia —
- He’s already directed over 30 hours of SPN and produced over 200 hours.
- Supernatural (TV Series) (39 episodes).

- Directors / Writers
- Eric Kripke would have to write the screenplay
**The story could serve as a platform or bridge two seasons together i.e. X-Files style–
