Ron Howard announces the name of the new Star Wars film on Twitter
With some help from Star Wars fan-favorite Chewbacca, director Ron Howard revealed the name of the new Han Solo film.
The film will provide the backstory on the smuggler who eventually turns into a war hero for the Rebel Alliance and woos Princess Leia. Alden Ehrenreich snagged the title role while Emmy award winner Donald Glover plays Solo’s friend and gambling buddy Lando Calrissian.

Howard came in mid-production after Lucasfilm and prior directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller agreed to part ways after disagreements on the vision of the movie.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is the title of the origin stand alone movie from the blockbuster movie series that is scheduled to be released on May 25.
