Brec Bassinger is DC Universe’s Newest Hero

DC Universe dropped a first look at DC Universe’s Stargirl at Wondercon this past Friday and she looks damn good in the costume. It doesn’t hurt that Laura Jean Shannon has designed the costume. Laura has worked on other DC property breakout hits like BlackLightning and the recent critically acclaimed Doom Patrol.

As of now, we do not have a whole of info on the series as DC Universe’s marketing machine is currently occupied with the impending premiere of Swamp Thing. Some speculation does suggest, that the series could have a much lighter tone than the inaugural runs of Titans and Doom Patrol.

Stargirl is executive produced by showrunner Geoff Johns. The main character was originally created by Johns and was inspired by his sister, who died in a plane explosion in 1996.

Stargirl will debut in early 2020.
