• This episode took a break from the more serious tone that’s been developed and took Trek fans down a familiar path
• I’d say the key to a successful funny episode, is to rely on the subtle—use the nuances of our characters
• And ultimately, the reason the humor worked outside of the Spock element is that we have just enough rapport with new characters for us to be a part of the joke

• Another thing, that I appreciate, is the writers refraining from over-explaining the Vulcan Katra
