John Barrowman has signed a new contract with DC/CW shows. The new deal will allow Malcolm Merlin to be a floating character across all the shows. The deal is similar to the deal signed by Wentworth Miller towards the end of last season.  Executive-producer Greg Berlanti  had said earlier about the Wentworth Miller deal that  “..it really emulates–the comic books themselves, where there really are a cast of characters”.
